Next Matches:

Harlesden Harps continue their season when they take on Wandsworth Gaels in their final group league game. The match will take place on Sunday, 22nd July at 2:00pm at Cayton Road, Greenford, London, UB6 8BJ.

Then the Division 3 league final will take place on Sunday, 29th July in Ruislip, exact details to follow closer to the date.

As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game and let's keep our unbeaten start to their league going.

 

Previous Matches:

A blustery evening in the Scrubs saw Harlesden Harps continue their league campaign with a solid victory over Moindearg. A brilliant first half performance by the boys who turned the wind very much to their advantage with plenty of energy and drive to get some wonderful scores. Goals were hit by Padraig McGoldrick, the returning Darren Lynch and Big John Enright saw us have a comfortable half time lead. However, a combination of the wind, tiredness and complacency saw the opposition gain the momentum in the second half to mount a comeback. Ultimately our first half performance was enough of a cushion to see us to victory on a final scoreline of Harps 4-14 Moindearg 4-107. A solid rather than an inspiring win, roll on the next game.

 

Training:

Training continues this week taking place Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along to this well-run club. If needed we can offer good jobs, along with accommodation and a social life to our members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.

Martin O Sullivan:

As most of you will have heard club stalwart, Martin O Sullivan, suffered significant injuries in a car crash last August in Co Louth.
