Harlesden Harps club notes

June 11, 2018

Next Match:

Harlesden Harps continue their league campaign when they take on Naomh Padraig in their next game. The match will take place this Tuesday, 12th June at 7:15pm at Greenford, pitch two, London, UB6 0NZ. The game offers a chance to continue an unbeaten start to their league run for 2018.

As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game.

Previous Matches:

Harlesden Harps got their league campaign off to a winning start recently with a hard-fought victory over Tir Chonaill Gaels. There was never much between the sides throughout but the accuracy of Paudric McGoldrick kept the scoreboard ticking over for the Harps. A goal each from Owen Bonner and Neil Horan eventually saw us to victory on a final scoreline of Harps 2-12 Tir Chonaill Gaels 1-10.

Harlesden Harps also played the semi-final of the Shiel Cup recently against St. Brendan's. As winners of the cup for the past two years this really has become a special competition for the Harps. A positive energetic start was rewarded with an early Ashley O Halloran goal. After scoring raids by both wing backs (Ryan Scullion & Jamie Somers) another goal from Dan Howlin gave us a commanding 2-07 to 0-05 half time lead. The team managed the play superbly in the second half with another well taken Ashley O Halloran goal seeing us to victory on a final scoreline of Harps 3-11 St. Brendan's 1-07. Roll on the final for a chance for the three-in-a-row!

Training:

As usual, check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and make sure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation.
