Parnells club notes

November 20, 2017

There is currently no training taking place for any section of the club as the season has drawn to a close.  Preparations are being made for the Youth's winter training sessions which will commence early 2018 and details will be available soon.  A reminder to all that Club gear is available to buy from the O'Neils website, follow the link at www.parnellsgaa.com.

The club's Annual Youth Presentation took place on the 19th of November in the GAA clubhouse in Ruislip.  The place began to buzz from 3pm as the families began to arrive.  A magnificent display of trophies was on show with all the medals and individual awards lined up.  The fun began with the U6's and ended with the U18 young men from the winning 'treble' team.  Master of ceremonies, Tony Griffin led the way and let the boys and girls, the 'true stars of the day' take the stage.  Congratulations to all the players on their awards, to all the families who attended, to Brendan Vaughan who marked the occasion with photographs, Dennis Diggins, Evan Byrne and Ryan Forde who presented the awards the Committee and managers who worked extremely hard behind the scenes.  A fitting end to the season and enjoyed by everyone.  Additional thanks to the staff at the Clubhouse who looked after us all.

The club would like to extend its sympathies to Sharon Horohoe and her family for the recent passing of her mother, Kathleen Moloney of Cabra West, Co Dublin and grandmother to John, Roisin and Caitlin.  May she rest in peace.  Also the club wishes a speedy recovery to Cormac O'Brien (U16) who has had a serious leg injury.

Dates for the Club's Senior and Youth AGM to be announced soon and other events taking place in 2018.
