Lack of free taker..

(Oldest Posts First)

Tyrone will win nothing without a free taker. Can they not sort this out?

Tyrone played like old women today, they were just awful. Why does Micky Harte change a team that has been winning at a time when they come up against one of the best teams in the country. Cork was just a different class. Why experiment against the likes of Cork, the whole team was upset and couldnt played together with five new players or so from the Donegal match. But in fairness maybe Micky wanted to get a look at what was on his bench mistakenly thinking they would do damage today. The new boys did nothing today and its worrying for the championship.

Free kicks? I think there are more issues......

It was a bad day as fortyfive says, I wouldn't worry too much an about it though,
Cork wee the better team on the day, and Tyrone never got going, they will learn
more from today than from last week.

We dont have the team a lot of you think we have. I can think of at least four players that are not up to the required standard, guys that would not have got near the 2003 05 or 08 teams. We got the rub of the green against Donegal and a lot of people lost the run of themselves . You are not going well when your goalkeeper gets the M O M award . The Dubs will give us a bit of a lesson on Saturday.

Free taking has been an issue for a long time now. You couldn't rely on our free takers from either side. Big Joe seems to be allowed to kick one once every few games and scores from ridiculous positions. Maybe he is only any use at the difficult ones. Despite playing terribly yesterday we could have got a result with better free taking.

I'm not sure that McAliskey has done enough so far, has potential but has only managed one point in the last 2 games. Not exactly prolific.

took the lad off early in the game against Donegal when he was our most lively forward!! too many men hogging the ball and moving it quick. Peter harte could do with being dropped or else a change off position cause hes having no influence on games at all!

Peter harte would make a great No.5 and in all fairness it might save his year.
