Updates from the Piarsaigh an Ghallbhaile, Stewartstown Harps GAC, Cookstown Fr Rocks, Owen Roes, Ardboe, Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's and Bruachaille Eoghain Rua clubs. PIARSAIGH AN GHALLBHAILE SENIOR FOOTBALL There is no league action this weekend as Tyrone are in action the All Ireland Qualifiers. YOUTH FOOTBALL The U14s capped a fine season when they lifted the Grade 2 League title on Wednesday the 9th of July, following a strong finish against Pomeroy. Both sides played good football despite the tricky conditions but it was Galbally that finished the stronger running out winners on a score line of 4-4 to 1-6. Congratulations to the lads on their fine victory and for a great season where they also lost narrowly in the championship final. Thanks also to the management team for all the effort they put in during the year. The U16s start their season on Wednesday the 23rd of July when they travel to Rock. The game has a 7.30pm throw in time. LADIES FOOTBALL Senior training continues Monday and Wednesday 7.30pm sharp. Important all must attend due to up coming league matches. U16s training Thursdays 7pm. First game is on Monday 28th away to Donaghmore at 7pm. U10 and U12 training Wednesday 6 -7.15pm. U12s have a match this Saturday against Errigal Ciaran at 11am at home. All parents to encouraged to attend. Well done to Eimear Tally and the Tyrone Minors Ladies who beat Monaghan on Sunday in the Semi Finals of the All Ireland. CONNECT 4 LOTTO There were no winners of the Connect 4 Lotto draw on Tuesday 8th of July. The numbers were 9, 3, 10 and 7. The four winners to share the £100 were: Sean McKeown, Packie McVeigh, Packie Quinn and Pauline Brannigan The next draw will be Tuesday 22nd of July and the jackpot now stands at £1,200. GAELTACHT Anyone interested in attending the Gaeltacht this summer are reminded that grant application forms are available from the club. Closing date is the end of July so please contact our Treasurer before then. FIELD SIGNAGE Advertising space is available around the main football field. Stewartstown Harps GAC Seniors/ Reserves The senior and reserve squads are still waiting to find out when they will be in action again. As of yet, nothing has been confirmed. However, training will continue and with management organising friendlies it is important that all players attend each session. Minors The minor team head to Eskra for their long awaited championship semi final against Clann na Gael tomorrow night (Wednesday). Throw in for the game is at 7.30 and all support for the team would be greatly appreciated. Cairde na Craobh The monthly draw will take place this Saturday night in the Roadside Tavern. Field Coordinator Rory O'Neill is now the new field coordinator for the club. This means that any manager who is planning a training session or friendly on the field must book it with Rory beforehand on 02887738766 or 07527112007. Summer Camp Summer camp forms are now available for any children who would like to attend. The club's camp will be running from 11th to 15th August and forms can be obtained by downloading them from the Tyrone GAA website or from Maura Gallagher. Tyrone Congratulations to the Tyrone minors on winning the Ulster title on Sunday and best of luck to the senior team who face Westmeath on Saturday in round two of the qualifiers. Cookstown Fr Rocks Fr Rocks seniors travel to Donaghmore on Friday evening for a Jim Devlin Cup clash. Throw in time is at 7:30pm. There is no all county league fixture this week due to Tyrone senior's participation in the All Ireland qualifiers. Lotto This week's lotto numbers were 1, 7, 11, 14. There was no jackpot winner and five match three winners who each receive £20. Next weeks prize is £1800. Underage Training Training for Under 8s and 10s continues at Paddy Cullen Park on Friday evening 6pm to 7:30pm. The cost involved is £1:50 to help cover training costs. Could all parents please collect children at 7:30pm sharp. Under 16s The Under 16s are at home to Errigal Ciaran next Wednesday 30th July with a 7:30pm throw in. Training continues on Monday and Thursday evenings at 6pm . Under 12s Under 12 training will now take place on Wednesday evenings at 7pm at Paddy Cullen Park. The Under 12s next game will take place on Monday 4th August at home to Moortown. Congratulations Well done to Brian Kelly and Ryan Pickering on helping Tyrone minors capture the Ulster Championship. Ryan went through the pain barrier to lift his fourth cup of the year. Let's hope there is another one in September to add to the collection. Sat 23rd Aug- U10 blitz at Owen Roes (Venue TBD) ADULT FOOTBALL All roads lead to Carrickmore this Friday night as our senior footballers take on Errigal Ciaran IIIs in the opening round of the WJ Dolan Junior Championship. It's hoped that all members would make a big effort to make the journey and get behind Gerard and the team on Friday night. Throw-in is at 6:45pm. PLAYERS NOTICE All players from adult to youth level are asked to ensure they wear the proper Club colours for all official matches, i.e. red shorts and red socks. Socks are available from O'Neill's Sportswear whilst shorts re available from both O'Neill's and Joe Hegarty. INTER CONTY FOOTBALL Well done to the Tyrone senior footballers who accounted for Louth on Saturday evening in the qualifiers. They now face Westmeath in this weekend's second round. Tickets for the game if required can be collected tomorrow night (Friday) at the Clubrooms at 8.30pm. Tickets must be collected and paid for at this time. No more requests for tickets are being accepted. If Tyrone win this Saturday, please assume tickets will be required for the next round on Saturday week, 2nd Aug, Sun 3rd Aug or Mon 4th and place requests with Joe Hegarty (by text - 0771 266 8329 or by e-mail - [email protected]) by 9pm on Mon 28th July so that an order can be placed with the County Board the next morning. No requests will be accepted verbally. No late requests WILL be accepted, and any cancellation of orders will still need paid for. Due to the tight schedule of fixtures during the qualifiers, ticket deadlines must be enforced so as to ensure efficient running of the ticket process. The County's hurlers had less luck as they lost out to Sligo in the Nicky Rackard Cup. However the County's minor footballers lifted the Ulster Championship on Sunday, and now prepare for the last eight of the AI series. LOTTO Last week's lotto numbers were 1, 4, 9, 12 and 18 there was 1 match 4 winner who won £50. This week's jackpot was £4000, and the numbers can be viewed on the Club site. SYMPATHY The club would like to express their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ambrose Brennan, father of Helen Devine, who passed away at the weekend. MERCHANDISE With the summer holidays upon us, perhaps you might be looking for some leisure wear to wear while on holidays, or even if staying local. Children's black jackets are priced at £25 and youth and adult at £30, white granddad shirts are priced at £20 for children and £25 for youth and adult and black polo shirts (adult sizes only) at £25. Club wear can be purchased from Joe Hegarty (tel 71 880793). Children's Club shorts for U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-14 are also available from Joe priced at £10, while kitbags are still available as well. CULTURE Please note that Irish dancing lessons have stopped for the summer break. Lessons will resume in the hall on 20th August. YOUTH FOOTBALL Training continues for the U16 boys will now take place on Thursdays at 7:30pm, but keep an eye to the club website for chances to this trainin schedule.The lads were away to Greencastle last night, and host Tattyreagh next Wednesday. The Owen Roes minor side's league quarter final with Eglish has been put back to 13th August. The ladies U16s get their season off and running on Monday night when they travel to Drumragh for a 7:30pm start. Training for the U16 Ladies team continues every Monday at 7:30pm. The ladies U12s next game is this Saturday 26th July against Sperrin Og in Greencastle at 11am. The boys U12s faced Aghyaran in Strabane on Monday past. Their next game will be at home to Castlederg on Monday 11th August. The U10s had their latest blitz in Greencastle on Saturday past. Well done to them. The U8s are in Newtownstewart this Saturday for their next blitz at 10:30am. The bus for the blitz will leave the clubrooms at 9:30am. Please note that all youth training on Friday night is cancelled for this week as it clashes with the adult championship. The boys U10 training resumes on Friday 1st August, while girls U12 training will not restart until Friday 8th August. IMPORTANT: Until further notice youth training will be in 'Ambrose's field' Glenmornan, while adult training takes place in Strabane every Tuesday. Ardboe Lotto numbers for Friday 18th July were 5, 8, 20, 28.  Two match 3 winners. Summer camp starts on Monday 28th July, anyone who has yet to apply can still do so by downloading an application form from tyronegaa.ie. U-13 training commences on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm.  All players welcome. U-16 training continues Monday and Wednesday at 7:00pm. Quarter final of M.F.L this Wednesday night in Ardboe at 7:30pm against Errigal Ciaran. Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's G.F.C. SENIOR/RESERVE FOOTBALL Senior and reserve training continues on Tuesday and Thursday night at 8pm. Vital that all players are in attendance in the lead-up to a vital stage of the season with important league and championship games on the horizon. There are no league fixtures scheduled for this weekend for either side. YOUTH The minors travel to Dromore on Wednesday night (23rd) for their league quarter final tie with a 7:30pm throw-in (et if necessary). All travelling support greatly appreciated for the lads. The U16's have got off to a good start having claimed 2 wins from 2. Next game is away to Errigal Ciaran on Saturday 26th July. The time is yet to be confirmed and players will be informed at training. They are then home to Augher next Wednesday (30th) at 7:30pm. GAELTACHT The club is now inviting any applications for scholarship to the Gaeltacht. Please contact Aidan O'Hagan or Paddy Coary for further details. SUMMER CAMP The annual summer camp will go ahead from Tues 19th Aug to Fri 22nd with highly qualified coaches on hand. The camp will be for anyone between 5-15 years old with each participant receiving a "goodie pack" along with hours of football and fun on the field. MERCHANDISE Phillip McCourt has a new stock of reserve jerseys (£25) and kitbags (£20) for sale. WELL DONE Congratulations to Ciaran and the county minors on a well-deserved Ulster title last Sunday. Ciaran now joins a select group of players within the club with Ulster medals and lets hope he can round off a great year by going on to claim the big one in Croke Park! TICKETS Tickets for the Tyrone v Westmeath qualifier in Healy Park this Saturday will be distributed on Thursday evening after senior training (9:30pm approx). Those with outstanding balances for the trip should also pay Phillip. CONGRATULATIONS The real reason why Phillip wants the Toronto money in quick is because he might have an expense or two this weekend in Enniskillen as a few men in Boston are coming home with empty pockets. Aisling and himself will tie the knot this Friday before jetting off to eastern Asia next week. The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Phillip for all his hard work this year on the Toronto committee and with the U14s and extend best wishes to both of them for their future together.
