GAA on TV this weekend: four do or die football ties

This weekend will see four teams exit the football championship and we get to see it all.

Two round 4 Qualifiers are on Sky this Saturday with Down and Monaghan facing up for the second time this summer while Kildare play Armagh at 7pm.

Sunday sees the first two All-Ireland quarter-finals of 2017 with Kerry up against Galway and then Connacht champions Roscommon facing neighbours Mayo.

TG4's history of the GAA continues is on at 8.30pm on Sunday with the Sunday Game on RTE2 at 9.30pm.

On Monday night GAA 2017 on TG4 features senior at 8pm.

A continued look at the history of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The decade of the underdog in hurling and the rise of Ulster football marked the 1990s as one of the most unusual in GAA history. It was a period of change and renewal as a tired Croke Park is transformed into a theatre of dreams. Contributors include Liam Griffin, Brendan Fullam, Tomás Ó Flatharta and Seán Boylan.
