Brendan Cunningham got married on Saturday and won an Ulster club championship medal on Sunday.

Having wed Errigal Ciaran and Tyrone ladies footballer Siobhan Quinn the previous day, Brendan starred at midfield on the Pomeroy side that eased past Donaghmoyne in Sunday's Ulster Club IFC final at Newry - a hectic and happy weekend by any standards!

"A lot of boys here made big sacrifices all year, not just me, but I'm delighted to get the win and top off a fantastic weekend," the groom told The Irish News.

"The honeymoon is booked in for the end of December for a few weeks. We're going to South Africa for six weeks and I think it's going to clash with the All-Ireland semi-final."
