Tyrone's Conor Clarke

Tyrone defender Conor Clarke has suffered another serious knee injury set-back.

A cruciate ligament injury sidelined him for most of last season and now the Omagh St Enda's clubman has ruptured the medial ligament in the same knee on club duty.

"It's unfortunate with it being that knee and the history of that knee," the 24-year-old told The Irish News.

"Whenever it happened, all thought were the cruciate, but the results came back that the cruciate is intact, but the medial is gone.

"Hopefully it will be a four month job, not the full six. I'll aim to be back at the end of November, get a good month in December, and then hopefully take in the McKenna Cup."
