Tipperary lead the way on our hurling team of the week...

1. Darren Gleeson (Tipperary)

Gleeson and the Premier County defence successfully kept Limerick at bay.

2. Cathal Barrett (Tipperary)

The no-nonsense corner-back wasn't found wanting when it came to the physical exchanges.

3. James Barry (Tipperary)

Another key component of the Premier County's impressive defensive unit.

4. Seamus Hickey (Limerick)

It was a day to forget for the Shannonsiders but Hickey battled gamely throughout.

5. Padraic Mannion (Galway)

The stand-out Galway performer against Offaly, he got his hands on plenty of possesion and used it to good effect.

6. Daithi Burke (Galway)

After a shaky start, Burke and his Galway team-mates got to grips with the Offaly forwards.

7. Padraic Maher (Tipperary)

Proved to be the rock on which many a Limerick attack perished in Semple Stadium.

8. David Burke (Galway)

Registered two points as Micheal Donoghue's men came away from Portlaoise with a 10-point victory.

9. Michael Breen (Tipperary)

His marauding runs forward resulted in two goals in the opening eight minutes and he made a massive contribution to his side's two-point win.

10. Cian Lynch (Limerick)

On a day when Limerick's challenge malfunctioned, the young Patrickswell man kept plugging away.

11. Patrick Maher (Tipperary)

Given the nod by manager Michael Ryan, 'Bonner' seized his opportunity with both hands.

12. Noel McGrath (Tipperary)

Back in flying form, he sent over three points while his perfectly executed hand pass created the opening for Seamus Callanan's goal.

13. Joe Bergin (Offaly)

Caused plenty of problems for the Tribesmen's rearguard when scoring 1-1 and was also pulled down for Shane Dooley's converted penalty.

14. Seamus Callanan (Tipperary)

The Limerick defence will be glad to see the back of Callanan who finished the contest with 1-6 (1-1 from play) to his name.

15. Conor Cooney (Galway)

Helped himself to 1-3 and will be hoping for more of the same when the Connacht men square up to Kilkenny in the provincial decider.
