The conditions were 'brutal' but host club Dromore were delighted to see their young charges beat St Eunan's from Letterkenny to qualify for the semi-finals of the Ulster U16 Paul McGirr Tournament.
'We were told to just dig in and that's what we did', said captain Oran Sludden after the hard-earned win. The Donegal team fired the only goal seven minutes from time but Dromore held out to win by 0-13 to 1-7.
The next games in the Tournament are this weekend - Rossa (Antrim) v Southern Gaels (Cavan) on Saturday at 2pm and the first semi-final is on Sunday, also at 2pm.
