Tyrone versus Meath wasn't a game for the purists but the main thing as far as Mickey Harte is concerned is the fact that his team will be in the hat for Monday morning's Round 3B draw.

Peter Harte's 53rd minute penalty swung the fixture in the home side's favour and they scraped home on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-11.

They went in at the end of the opening 35 minutes trailing by 0-3 to 0-4.

"It didn't look pretty for us at half-time - we didn't take our chances but we were still in the game," Harte said to BBC Sport.

"The goal was crucial and the fact we are in Monday's draw it all that matters."
