Tyrone U-21 manager Fergal Logan is hoping a club versus county clash can be avoided as he prepares his team for the All-Ireland final against Tipperary.

Red Hand fixture-makers have pencilled in a full round of domestic league games for this weekend and, speaking to The Irish News, Logan expressed his hope that a compromise can be reached to avoid his players being put at risk of injury ahead of their May 2nd clash with the Premier County.

"I hope there's a level of understanding and a level of common sense applied across the board in Tyrone from top to bottom, be it with clubs, be with county board, be it wherever.

"This is a great opportunity for everybody involved, and I would hate it to be put at risk by playing competitive league fixtures within seven days of the final."

Logan continued: "I understand all their positions, but there's a top four, there's a bottom two, there's play-offs, there's a lot of default positions at the end of the year. There's no default position for us.

"We have tried to facilitate it to date, but there's only one throw of the decide with this one for us."
