To compliment the coaching qualification pathway, Ulster GAA in conjunction with Ulster Ladies Gaelic are delighted to announce the launch of the new Ulster GAA Coach Academy.

This Academy which is supported by Sport NI, is open to GAA and LGFA Coaches who have already completed their Level 1 Coaching qualifications, and will provide a number of short workshops to further develop coaching expertise over a period of 12months.

The key aim of the Academy is to support and develop coaches' knowledge and application of technical, tactical, physiological and psychological/lifestyle factors that affect a player's and ultimately a team's performance.  It is open for applications from coaches involved in Gaelic Football, Hurling and Ladies Gaelic Football.

Speaking at the launch of the Ulster GAA Coach Academy Gerry Duffy, Chairman of the Ulster GAA Coaching & Games Committee said "We are very excited about the potential this new Coach Academy can offer for coaches in Ulster.  High quality coaching within our clubs and counties is paramount to the development of all codes within the province, and we hope that by investing in these Academy coaches we will reap the rewards on the pitch in the months and years ahead."
