All the hard work that went into organising the #GameForAnto paid off this evening as a bumper attendance of 6,103 turned up at Kingspan Stadium.

The Ulster All-Stars edged out Dublin on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-19 but www.deterMND.com was the real winner as all funds raised will go towards the fight against Motor Neuron Disease.

The novel game at the home of Ulster rugby was the idea of former Antrim captain Anto Finnegan who was diagnosed with the condition in 2012 and Jim Gavin fielded a strong team which included regulars such as Stephen Cluxton, Michael Fitzsimons, Philly McMahon, Jack McCaffrey, Eoghan O'Gara and Kevin McManamon.

O'Gara and Donal O'Hare of Down exchanged goals during the opening 35 minutes and the sides went in level at the break on 1-10 apiece.

Rock kicked six points for the Leinster champions in the first-half while Fermanagh's Ryan McCluskey was shown a black card late on.

Backboned by the likes of of Rory Beggan, Peter Harte and Jamie Clarke, the Joe Kernan-managed Ulster enjoyed the perfect start to the second-half when Michael McCann found the back of the Dublin net.

McCann's green flag proved to be the difference between the teams at Pat McEnaney's final whistle but the result was immaterial.

Well done to all involved on making the game such a great success!
