Omagh "formidable opposition" - McEntee

Crossmaglen's John McEntee

John McEntee believes Crossmaglen will be pushed all the way by Omagh in the Ulster club championship.

Rangers' co-manager totally dismisses any suggestion that the Tyrone champions are in bonus territory and will tog out at Healy Park on Sunday just to make up the numbers:

"After the county final there was a quote in the paper by Big Joe [McMahon] - he said they were looking forward to playing Cross'," McEntee points out in The Irish News.

"That was five weeks ago, before we got to the county final. We hadn't even played the semi-final at that stage.

"Omagh are the best team in Tyrone. They have a championship title to prove that. They have beaten Dromore, who were the favourites, and they beat Carrickmore, who were dogged county finalists. Had either of those teams come through, there would be a totally different perspective on this game.

"Omagh have proven themselves to be the best team in Tyrone and that is a big accolade to hold. If you're the best club team in Tyrone then you are a decent side.

"We know they are quality. We know they have seven county men. We know that they have focussed on us now for five weeks so they are going to be formidable opposition."
