An exciting climax to the group stages of the Allianz Football Leagues is in store next weekend ... but what players caught the eye in round 6?

1. Conor Gilsenan (Cavan)

Cavan conceded their first goal of their Division 3 league campaign against Roscommon but Gilsenan couldn't be faulted for Senan Kilbride's fisted effort.

2. Donal Keogan (Meath)

Keogan kept a tight leash on Down play-maker Mark Poland and made a couple of vital interceptions when the Pairc Tailteann clash was very much in the melting pot on Saturday evening.

3. Chrissy McKaigue (Derry)

Derry have surpassed expectations by qualifying for the Division 1 semi-finals and McKaigue has proven himself to be up there with the game's very best defenders.

4. Darren Daly (Dublin)

Daly goes about his business with the minimum of fuss and put in a steady shift against Mayo.

5. Anthony Thompson (Donegal)

Thompson has been one of Donegal's most consistent performers as they seek an immediate return to the top flight.

6. Dessie Mone (Monaghan)

Monaghan remain on course for promotion after their five-point victory over Laois and the experienced Mone had a major say on proceedings in Clones.

7. Thomas McElroy (Fermanagh)

Half-back McElroy got on the scoresheet with two points as Fermanagh easily accounted for Wexford in Division 3 at Brewster Park.

8. Aidan O'Shea (Mayo)

It was a case of so near and yet so far for O'Shea and Mayo as they were caught napping late on by Dublin.

9. Fiontain O Curraoin (Galway)

O Curraoin put in a commanding display against visitors Armagh as Alan Mulholland's charges gave themselves a chance of avoiding the drop to Division 3.

10. Kevin McLoughlin (Mayo)

Was on the receiving end of a kick from Stephen Cluxton but that didn't affect his game as he notched 1-3 for James Horan's side against the All-Ireland champions.

11. Mark Lynch (Derry)

The Derry captain continued his impressive form of late against Kildare and Oak Leaf fans will be hoping for more of the same in the last four of the competition.

12. Conor Sweeney (Tipperary)

Sweeney's scoring exploits have been a vital ingredients in Tipp's winning formula, he helped himself to 2-7 (2-2 from play) as the Premier County secured promotion to Division 3 against Leitirm.

13. David Tubridy (Clare)

Tubridy was on target with 1-9 as Clare moved into second place in the Division 4 table courtesy of a comfortable victory over Carlow.

14. Kyle Coney (Tyrone)

Plagued by injury in recent times, former underage star Kyle Coney showed Tyrone fans what they have been missing with a top drawer display against Cork.

15. Paul Geaney (Kerry)

Geaney and his full-forward line colleagues, Stephen O'Brien and James O'Donoghue, provided plenty of headaches for the Westmeath full-back line.
