ADULT FOOTBALL (Daoine Fásta)

Urney made the journey to Drumquin last Friday night, the reserves lost out narrowly despite rallying well in the 2nd half. The senior side faired better but needed a goal from Brian Kelly in additional time to secure the win. Full match reports can be found on the Facebook page.

Special thanks to our match ball sponsorship this week who was former club player and current club Registrar Cathal McGowan. We would like to extend our appreciation to Cathal, his family and his business Clippers Barbershop, Main St. Strabane for their kind sponsorship.

We would encourage all our supporters, players and members to support our sponsors where possible.

Next up for the senior side is the re-fixture of the Cookstown game that was abandoned last week as a result of an injury. Game throws in at 7.30 in Cookstown. Then on Friday night Urney senior and reserve sides host Coalisland in Clady, throw in 6.15 and 7.45.

YOUTH (An tAos Óg)

Training for our Under 14 & Under 12 boys continues this week and it is great to see the numbers out.

Training also continues for our Under 10's and Under 8 sides. It will continue this Wednesday from 7 to 8.

U8's & U10's travelled to Sigerson's on Saturday and enjoyed a great morning's football in sweltering hot conditions.

Some of the Under 8's were representing the club for the first time and it was great to see Maegan Baird and Annabelle McMenamin register their first scores in Urney colours. Zac McGavigan was also on his first outing and played a pivotal role for the u8's and also made the step up to u10's. Well done to all 3.

The Under 10's rallied really well in the 3rd and 4th quarters with Harry Sweeney, Mark Neilis, James Langan and Jacob McGavigan all contributing fine scores. Special mention must go to Oisin Sweeney, Mahra McLaughlin and Christian Quinn who showed high fitness levels to play every minute for both the u8's & u10's.

Many thanks to all the parents for their ongoing support.

Our Under 12's were also in action on Saturday. While the result didn't go their way, this young side should be proud of their performance.

These boys are improving every week and can really be proud of their work rate and effort.

Thanks aswell to the parents for their continued support, it's greatly appreciated.

Our Under 16's play Tattyreagh this Wednesday night in Newtonswewart, throw in 7.15pm.

On Saturday our Under 14's are away to Drumquin, throw in 11am.

Our minor Ladies beat Dromore on Monday night 10th August, 6:11 to 5:12. Well done ladies. Next up is the short trip to face Strabane. The game is scheduled for next Monday 17th August.

Keep an eye out on Facebook for details of Under 16 and Under 14 ladies. Training will start soon.

LOTTO (Crannchur)

Our latest Lockdown Lotto draw took place on Monday night 10th August Numbers are as follows, 4, 10, 16, 20. No jackpot winners & one match 3 winner, Carolanne Elliott wins £50.00.

Our LOCKDOWN LOTTO will continue next week.

Envelopes will also be available in Flanagan's shop, Clady and can be left there for collection. Our collectors will call every Monday afternoon and any envelopes left will be added to our online sales and be included for that week's draw.

Over the last few months club income has been massively reduced and unfortunately the club still has bills to pay every week/month in order to keep our facilities going whether in use or not. We would like to urge all members to purchase at least 1 lotto per week.

Each Monday night our Lotto draw will take place live on the clubs Facebook page.

You can also play online via https://www.klubfunder.com/Clubs/Urney%20GFC/lotto

Sign up now and have results sent directly to your email every week.

As with all club lottos, the committee decision is final.

Play now either online or envelopes in Flanagan's shop Clady. Good luck 💚💛🤞
