Three-time All-Ireland winner Ciaran Gourley is preparing for yet another final at the stellar age of 40.
Gourley was part of the Tyrone side that was the team of the 2000s, lifting Sam Maguire in 2003, 2005 and 2008.
The defender has had a trophy laden career and on Sunday, he will be playing in his fifth Tyrone junior football final with his club Rock.
“I am getting set for my fifth county final appearance,” said Gourley. “I’m very lucky. This will be our third since 2014 and we won the previous couple.
“It’s just great to be there again. I remember at the start of my career back in 1998 we lost a junior final to Greencastle and it took us a while to get back to one again. We have been very successful in this competition and we will look forward to it now.”
Rock face Kildress in the JFC final at Healy Park this Sunday at 2pm.
