Youth Football;
Unfortunately our Sigersons Under 16 boys were defeated on Saturday away to Dungannon, 2-11 to 1-11 bringing an end to their season.

A massive well done to the boys and their coaches Sean Barkley, Dermot McGrath and Mickey Quigg for their dedication and attitude throughout the season. This is a very bright young team and their will definitely be better days ahead, stick at it boys!

Well done to the under 16 girls who defeated Clan na nGael 8-8 to 3-13 at the weekend, another good win for the girls ahead of their Championship game on Sunday which is away to Badoney at 11am. Sigersons scorers were as follows; Crystal Crossan 6-4, Sophia Lynne Cardnenas 2-1, Rhea McAnneny 0-2, Megan McGrath 0-1.

Great all round performance from everyone, well done girls.

Tournaments;
A brilliant morning in Páirc Mhíc Sioghair on Saturday at the Mairead Stewart memorial tournament and Breast Cancer Coffee Morning.

Thanks to all 8 teams for attending there was some excellent football on show throughout the day.

Well done to Steelstown Brian Og's who were the shield winners after defeating Castlederg in a brilliant final whilst Drumquin won the plate final.

Thanks to everyone who organised & assisted with the coffee morning especially Tina Molloy, Geraldine Love & Nicola Boyle.

Thanks to Dean Molloy for co-ordinating the tournament ably assisted by his four referees Ellie-Jay McMenamin, Riley Neeson, Crystal Crossan & Ella Stewart.

Many thanks to Mayor Michaela Boyle for attending the event and to the many people who donated towards the great cause, Breast Cancer awareness.

The Tournament was in memory of a true GAA Gael in Strabane, Mairead Stewart who died tragically 27 years ago. Mairead and her family were staunch supporters of her club with members of her family still involved. Her brother Charlie is currently Honorary Vice President. Saturdays tournament was a very fitting tribute to a proud Strabane Sigersons woman.

Congratulations to Cookstown on winning the Peter Duffy Memorial Cup and to Strabane for winning the Memorial shield on Sunday past in Páirc Mhíc Sioghair.

Thank you to the Duffy Family for supporting the tournament. Thanks also to everyone who assisted with the running of the blitz and well done to all the teams for attending and contributing to a great day of football.

Sympathies; The club extends its deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Margaret Caulfield Townsend Street, Paul Dillon Newtowncunningham.

Mary Queen of the Gael pray for them.
