A great day was had by all, at the U8 & U10 girls blitz that we hosted on Saturday (22nd). Our girls played Errigal Ciaran, Tattyreagh, Fintona and Beragh in what was a fantastic day of football. Many thanks to everyone who made the day possible including the referees, the coaches and all the parents who helped with setting up the pitches and refreshments after the games. Our U8, U10 & U12 girls train on Fridays, 6.30 to 7.30pm, as always new members are welcome. All help from parents is also greatly appreciated.

Our U11 boys team competed in the Aghaloo tournament on Saturday past (22nd). They battled through the group stages and made it to the semi-final. They were beaten by Ardboe on a 2 point margin in a game that was there for the taking. Thanks to Aghaloo for a very well run event and great hospitality. Training continues this Thursday night (27th) for U8, U10 & U12 boys. The lads are on the training pitch this week as there is a game on the main field.

U12 girls are training this Wednesday (26th) from 6.30 to 7.30 pm and the girls are also attending an Ulster Development Blitz in Killyclogher this Saturday (29th).

The U14 boys are training this week on Wednesday (26th) evening from 7 > 8.30 pm and on Saturday (29th) morning from 11.00 > 12.30. The League final v Eglish has been provisionally fixed for next Tuesday evening (2nd July). This may be subject to change, details TBC.

On Sunday (23rd) our senior ladies made their way to Killyclogher to start their Championship campaign in a preliminary round fixture v Loughmacrory. The ladies showcased their determination and strengths with a superb opening half that saw some fine scores landed. At the break the scoreline stood Killeeshil 1.15 to Loughmacrory 0.02. The ladies began strong in the second half hitting the net 3 times. Loughmacrory responded well but the Killeeshil ladies remained focused and drove through to win the game on a final scoreline of 4.18 to 2.08. The ladies now meet Fintona in the quarter final of the championship. A big thanks to all those who gave their support to our ladies at the game. This was much appreciated by the team and management. The Senior Ladies are on their travels again, away to Trillick on Wednesday night (26th) at 7.30pm for a league game. All support is welcome.

Our Senior men made the long journey last Friday (21st) to face Castlederg in the league. Our boys put in a much improved performance from the previous week and were dominant during the first half, only to be hit with a sucker punch just before the half time whistle, when ‘The Derg’ scored a goal. We battled to the final whistle but that goal proved decisive as the contest finished on the final score of Killeeshil 0-13, Castlederg 1-13. Senior and reserve men are out training this week on Tuesday (8 pm) and Friday (7.30 pm).

Good luck to the Tyrone senior team who face Kildare in Kildare, this Saturday, the 29th of June at 5pm.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Kathleen Hamilton (Cabragh), Francis McGuigan (Middletown) and Peter-Joseph Mullin (Sixmilecross) on their recent bereavements.
