Urney St. Columba's - Club Notes
May 21, 2019ADULT (Daoine Fásta):
The Senior team returned to action at the weekend. After a slow start and battling back in the 2nd half, they fell just short. Final score Beragh 0-17 Urney 1-11, special thanks to Steven Mayse our match ball sponsor. Next up is a trip to Pomeroy on Sunday 2nd June.
YOUTH (An tAos Óg): Our U14 boys lost away to Aghyaran on Wednesday 15th May, final score Aghyaran 7-12 Urney 5-11. Next up is a trip to Beragh on Wednesday 22nd May, throw in 7.15. All support would be greatly appreciated. Our under 14 girls are away to Tattyreagh this Tuesday night. All support greatly appreciated. Our Minor boys beat Both Domhnaigh last week on a scoreline 5-12 to 2-13. They too play Beragh next, game is this Friday 24th May. Throw in 7pm Training for our under 6, 8,10 & 12's continues on Thursday night again from 7. We would also encourage any parents, club members or adult players to lend a hand, as the more help we can get the better it is for everyone. Our under 10's also competed in their first blitz of the year in Glenelly on Saturday morning. Despite the wet conditions everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great day. CONGRATULATIONS (Comhghairdeas) The club would like to congratulate all the young boys and girls who recently made their Holy Communion in Doneyloop, Glebe and Melmount. We would also like to say congratulations to former senior player Liam Convie and his new wife Ruth on their recent marriage. Congratulations as well to Senior player Christopher Bogle and his wife Cathy on the recent birth of their daughter Molly. Also good luck to Stephen "Diesel" Maxwell, Christopher Bogle, Sean McGowan and Ryan "Foggy" McColgan on their recent deployment with the Irish Army. Stay safe boys! It's been a busy few weeks
