Derrylaughan Kevin Barrys Club Notes

The committee and members of Derrylaughan Kevin Barry’s GAC would like to send their sincere condolences to the families and friends of Sympathy is extended to the families and friends on the tragic deaths of Connor Currie, Lauren Bullock and Morgan Barnard who lost their lives in the incident in Cookstown on St Patrick’s Night . If any boys or girls in the local area feel the need to talk with someone the Education Authority's Incident Response team are already in place for students at the Academy and St Patricks College. Comhghairdeas to the Events Committee, Participants and all who helped out and partook in the yet again hugely successful Washingbay Green Run 2019 on Sat 16th March past - please see Social Media for more videos/photos and results. Funds go towards the Club and our chosen charities The Southern Area Hospice Services and Lough Neagh Rescue and this event could not take place without the support from our Main Sponsor Specdrum and all our other sponsors on the day. The Club Senior/Reserve Football and Camogie Presentation Evening has been rescheduled for Sun 24th Mar in Falls at 7.30pm. Cairde Caoimhin de Barra is open for Club Membership and Membership and Player Registrations are due by 29/03/18 - £20 Individual, £30 Couple, £10 Senior Citizen. Membership can be paid to Dan Mc Grath each Thurs 7.30-9.30pm at the Club room or anyone interested in joining is asked to contact any committee member and see social media for further information.​

The Senior Footballers play County Champions Coalisland in the first round of the Division 1 All-County League on 31st Mar. The Minors are due to open their League account away to Brackaville on Sun 24th Mar at 11.30am. The U14s beat Naomh Padraig comfortably on Friday 15th Mar past and play Moortown at the Shore at 12pm on Sat 23rd Mar followed by Clonoe Away on Sat 30th Mar at 12pm. U14 training continues Mon & Wed 6.30-7.30. Football training for U10s & U8’s is on Sat at 10am at the pitch.​

The U16/Minor Camogie training continues Mon at 7pm at the shore with indoor training Thurs at 7.15pm in St. Josephs College Coalisland – all new members welcome. U6/U8/U10 Camogie training continues Sat at 10am - please contact Orlaith on +447880224045 for more details. The preseason winter programme for any other Football and Camogie will be communicated in the first instance by Club WhatsApp Group Messages and then updated in the notes.​

Please note that due to an extensive maintenance programme and building of a walkway, in and around the shore side of the club grounds and the main pitch are closed other than for agreed training/games – all players and members are kindly requested to observe this notice until notified otherwise. Lotto numbers drawn March 17th were 06. 27. 28. 29. No one matched numbers and draw was made. Phelim O’Neill, Derryvarnbeg and John Joe Devlin c/o Sean Cullen receive £25 each.
