Mulligan hangs up his boots

Tyrone great Owen Mulligan has announced his retirement from football.
"The time has come to let go, I've lived the dream," he said in a tweet last night which was accompanied by a picture of a pair of boots tied to a coat hanger.
Owen Mulligan lifts the Sam Maguire Cup in 2005 and right, in action for London 12 years later.
Mulligan was part of a golden generation of Tyrone footballers who won All-Irelands at minor, U21 and senior level. In a glittering career, the explosive forward won the Sam Maguire Cup three times in 2003, '05 and '08. He also pocketed four Ulster SFC medals, two National League medals, one All Star and an All-Ireland club IFC medal won with his club Fr Rock's, Cookstown.
In addition, he won a London SFC medal with Fulham Irish and lined out for the Exiles in last year's Connacht SFC at the age of 37.
Mulligan will always be remembered for his stunning individual goal against Dublin in the 2005 All-Ireland SFC quarter-final replay.
