The Derrylaughan Kevin Barry’s Club in association with the Ulster Council proudly unveiled a Memorial Plaque on Tues 09th Oct at the graveside of Brian McLernon RIP in recognition and memory of him and his huge contribution to the GAA Community. Suaimh neas siorai ar a anam.

The Senior Footballers are back in action for the penultimate league game of the year at home V Killyclogher on Sun 14th Oct, Reserves 2.15pm, Seniors 3.45pm. Hard luck to our U16 footballers who were beaten in the Final of the League by Cookstown 3-11 to 2-09. The winter programme for P4-P6 underage football is being planned and sessions for older groups will be arranged at a later date - please keep an eye on WhatsApp groups for further info.

Ádh mór to our Minor Camog’s who play in the Ulster Semi-final V Antrim Champions Loughgiel Shamrocks GAC on Sun 14th Oct at the shore at 4.30pm, all support welcome!

Well done to all involved in the Mental Health and Addiction Workshop on Thur 04th Oct and many thanks to all involved in particular our hosts and partners St Joseph’s College Coalisland and Ógras Youth Club and the various speakers on the night.

As part of the clubs continued Health and Wellbeing activities an Eat Well Good Food Toolkit Training session with food nutrition information for healthy lifestyles for all club members is now planned for 13th Nov at 7-8.30pm in the clubrooms and Health Checks (limited number, first come first served) are planned for Sat 10th Nov 10am – anyone interested please contact Una Cushnahan +447540598259.

Following on from the roll-out of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) throughout clubs and community NI Sport are offering a FREE awareness session covering the basic maintenance and usage information that is essential to ensuring the maximum effectiveness of an AED in the event of an out of hospital cardiac arrest. They are planned locally for Mid Ulster Cookstown Leisure Centre on 17th Nov 10am-12pm and 17th Nov 2-4pm. A guided tour of Kilmainham Gaol on Sat Oct 27th at 12 Noon is planned for club members at a cost of only £25 including entry to Kilmainham, Croke Park, a Meal and the bus! Please make payment of a £10 deposit on Tuesday 16th Oct between 7-7.15pm. Contact Bronagh on +447703594967 for further info.

Anyone interested in representing the Club in this year's Scòr na nOg please contact Bronagh Savage +447736498870. Events include Figure/Cèili Dancing, Set Dancing, Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Instrumental Group, Recitation and a Quiz Team. Entrants must be U17 in 2018.

Anyone interested in borrowing any equipment/resources from the club please contact Petsie Kennedy. Pilates continues in the Washingbay Centre on Tuesday at 7.30pm, contact Bronagh on +447703594967 to book a place. Line dancing classes are now in the Washingbay Centre from Wed 10th Oct – beginners start 7pm to 8:30pm, advanced 8.30 – 10pm - why not give it a go and take along a friend.
