Coalisland are the first team through to the Tyrone SFC final after they had the minimum to spare over Edendork in this afternoon's semi-final at Dungannon.

A Peter Herron goal late in the first half proved decisive as the Fianna edged victory on a 1-11 to 0-13 scoreline. They will face the winners of tomorrow's semi-final between Ardboe and Killyclogher in the O'Neill Cup decider.

Athy also eked out a one-point victory, 0-17 to 1-12, over Celbridge at St Conleth's Park to reach the Kildare SFC final against the winners of tomorrow's clash between county and Leinster champions Moorefield and Naas.

The Limerick SFC final on the weekend of October 20/21 will be contested by holders Adare and Ballylanders. Adare overcame Monaleen last night and they were joined in the decider this evening by Ballylanders who recorded a surprise 2-7 to 1-8 victory over Newcastle West.

In the Galway SFC quarter-finals, Annaghdown accounted for St James by 2-16 to 2-8, while Mountbellew-Moylough defeated Moycullen by 1-13 to 1-12 after extra-time.

In hurling, James Stephens and Erin's Own must replay their Kilkenny SHC quarter-final after they drew 0-14 each.
