Tyrone are through to their first All-Ireland SFC final in 10 years and Mickey Harte was delighted to clear the semi-final hurdle at the fifth attempt.

"We're just thrilled, it has been a long journey from 2008 and this was our fifth semi-final," the Red Hands boss pointed out in his post-match interview with Sky Sports. "We'd lost the previous four and we just couldn't think of what it would be like to lose another."

Niall Sludden's second-half goal proved to be the decisive moment in today's victory over the Farney County.

"A goal was going to be a huge score in this game and there never was much chance of a goal before that. How Niall Sludden tucked that away I don't know but it was sweet.

"It made such a difference because it gave us that cushion. At point for point it was going to be anybody's game but when they had to claw back three points it was going to be difficult at that stage of the game."

Dublin stand in the way of Harte guiding Tyrone to a fourth Sam Maguire Cup success.

"It's great to be there but there's a job to be done as well. We have to look forward to the idea that we are there but what a task we have ahead of us."
