Tyrone forward Niall Sludden is in no doubt that must be very disciplined and not give away scoreable frees against Monaghan in Sunday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final at Croke Park.

Sludden believes that both sides have exceptional free takers in their ranks and any indiscretions close to goal will be punished.

Indeed, with the likes of Rory Beggan on form, Tyrone cannot afford to give away any frees 60 metres onwards from their own goal.

Sludden points to the Ulster SFC meeting between the sides when Beggan and Conor McManus punished them from placed balls.

"We conceded a lot of free kicks which you can't be doing against players of the calibre of Conor McManus and Rory Beggan. But I think as a team we have improved with each game since that match so we'll see next Sunday where we are at," Sludden told the Ulster Herald.

Sludden added that they are keen to make the most of this opportunity and advance to the All-Ireland SFC final where they will face either Dublin or Galway.

"These opportunities don't come around too often, two Ulster teams clashing in an All-Ireland semi-final. But we aren't really too fussed about past history or what happened before.

"It's all about the present now and the 2018 Tyrone group of players. You seen against Donegal the character we had so we know we can deal with anything even though we face a tough challenge against Monaghan."
