It's all about the here and now as far as Tyrone captain Mattie Donnelly is concerned.

The Red Hands proved to be the rock on which the Farney County's All-Ireland ambitions perished in the 2013 and 2015 quarter-finals but Donnelly insists that counts for nothing ahead of this Sunday's penultimate stage clash.

There's also the fact that the Malachy O'Rourke's men came out on tops when the two sides met in the Ulster SFC back in May.

"If we were to read into what's happened in the past, we wouldn't have won in Ballybofey, because I don't think I've gone there in a Tyrone top and won before," he pointed out to the Irish Sun.

"So if you were to believe what happened in the past, we wouldn't be in an All-Ireland semi-final.

"We are meeting Monaghan, who are unbeaten in their Super Eights group, which was a very strong group.

"They were very impressive against Galway and especially against Kerry. They are the only team to beat Dublin this year too.

"So it's going to be every bit as tough, if not tougher, than it was against Donegal - but what an opportunity for both teams to make the final."
