Mc ALEER and RUSHE RENEW COMMITMENT TO TYRONE LADIES

Local company and existing sponsors of the Tyrone ladies senior team, Mc Aleer and Rushe  have reaffirmed their support of the team with confirmation of an improved and extended  sponsorship deal. The fresh arrangement comes on the back of Tyrone's journey to the all Ireland intermediate final last year that ended in a three point loss at the hands of Tipperary.

The Cookstown based multi-national  firm who have supported the senior ladies for the past three years confirmed the extension to the current package. They had also previously sponsored the Tyrone GAA teams up until the end of last year before being replaced.  The deal agreed with the Ladies board  will leave them title sponsor of the senior side for a further four years, taking them until the end of 2021 with an increased level of financial support to boot.  The overall package is one of the most lucrative in ladies football.

Speaking after the announcement on Wednesday morning, Tyrone ladies Chairperson Donna Mc Crory paid tribute to the company who have backed the girls through thick and thin,

" Mc Aleer and Rushe came on board when there was no-one clamouring to support the girls, they have showed tremendous belief and commitment towards the senior ladies and we are delighted that they have come on board with an improved and renewed deal, that level of commitment from a multi national company is rare in the ladies game, it gives us a wonderful platform on which to build for the national league and championship again"  The Tyrone chair expressed her thanks too to several other companies who had shown interest in supporting the team.

Mc Aleer and Rushe's James Higgins confirmed the companies renewed commitment to the Tyrone ladies explaining that the new deal is increased and will hopefully go some way to supporting the girls drive for a return to Croke Park.

The title sponsorship may be confirmed but several other sponsorship packages remain on the table and it's believed the bulk of last years senior and youth sponsors will also renew their deals. Tyrone officials hope to have those wrapped up by the end of next week and ahead of the new national league campaign which opens against Waterford on January 28th.  The players themselves are doing their bit away from the pitch too with a fundraising spinathon planned for February 17th.

Tyrone will once again play in division two of the lidl national league, manager Gerry Moane has outlined his desire to see Tyrone press for promotion ahead of the new look Championship. Tyrone open the defence of the Ulster title with a semi-final tussle with Down in June.
