Longford manager Padraic Davis wants his charges to finish the league campaign on a high as they turn their attentions to the Leinster SFC.

The Midlanders take on either Wicklow or Kildare in the Leinster SFC quarterfinal on May 26th and Davis is already looking ahead to that clash.

Before then, they face neighbours Westmeath who are still very much in the promotion hunt and Davis wants to put a spanner in their works at Cusack Park on Sunday.

“Right now the other games played are in the past and we pick it up and go again. We are never happy at where we are at,” said Davis.

“Let’s move on now and try and get a result against Westmeath and that’s what we are aiming to achieve. Then let’s push on again into the championship and get our best men available so we can put in a good shift.”
