Mullinalaghta St Columba’s manager Mickey Graham believes that his charges have the ability to reach a Leinster club SFC final.

The Longford champions ground out a deserved win over Offaly kingpins Rhode to book their place in the Leinster club SFC semi-final.

There, they will meet Carlow’s Eire Og and both sides will feel that they have a great chance of reaching a provincial decider.

In the other side of the draw are ‘big guns’ Kilmacud Crokes and Portlaoise, with Graham stating in the Longford Leader that football in the county needs a boost like this.

“This is a serious bunch of players. This will only bode well for Longford football. Longford football needs to be taken so seriously because they have represented their county with pride,” said Graham.

“I hope the people of Longford will come out for the semi-final and really get behind them.”
