Kilkenny manager Brian Cody doesn’t expect any of his squad to retire over the winter period.

Cody is confident that all his experienced players including Richie Hogan, Paul Murphy, TJ Reid and Eoin Murphy to name a few will be staying on for another year.

Hogan was probably the biggest doubt as he has been on the squad since 2007 and has been dogged by injuries in recent years, but his manager told the Kilkenny People, he expects little turnover in the squad.

“We probably don’t have as many experienced players as we might have had a few years ago,” stated Cody. “But, I think there is potential there to have a good panel, a very, very good panel with genuine and honest commitment which I guarantee we will have.

“We will do everything possible to be as competitive as possible. The potential is there to do these things. The commitment will be there next year to work hard to be as competitive as is humanly possible.”
