Clare manager Brian Lohan is confident that he can get the best of the ‘talented’ group at his disposal.

Lohan has been working with the squad for the last few weeks and he brings his side to Ballinderreen on Saturday to take on Galway in a challenge.

Last year was a poor year for the Banner County and Lohan will be looking to turn their fortunes around as he feels that the talent is there.

“There are some exceptional players there and going back over the last couple of years, they have been exceptional,” Lohan told the Clare Champion.

“For the last five or six years, they are the only group of players we have had to win as much as they have between their minor successes, at under-21 and even at Fitzgibbon Cup level; a lot of the players would be well decorated. There is that bit of potential there and it is a case of us going in there now and trying to get a team together and trying to get the best out of the players that we have.”
