Mick O'Neill RIP.

Kilkenny GAA followers have been saddened to learn of the passing of legendary Nowlan Park volunteer Mick O'Neill.

Match days won't be the same at the Kilkenny county grounds without Mick who always had a warm welcome for visitors. He was particularly proud of Nowlan Park's reputation for having the best playing surface in the country, something he, groundsman John Coogan and stadium caretaker Kevin McGarry worked hard to maintain.

Kilkenny Camogie said of Mick: "Caretaker of Nowlan Park for many years Mick was a true gentleman and would go and beyond the call of duty to help anyone especially all in the Camogie Board. He was always there with a smile on his face and there would be great banter with him."
