They may have Kildare senior hurling championship titles between them, but Ardclough and Celbridge will meet in a county SHC final for the first time ever this weekend.

Celbridge will compete in their ninth county final in 14 years this Sunday, while defending champions Ardclough are seeking for back to back titles for the first time since 1983.

Ardclough have won 13 county titles, while Celbridge have been successful on seven occasions, but amazingly they have never met in the decider.

Between them, they have won the last two finals with Naas being defeated in both finals, so this makes for an intriguing clash this weekend.
