Limerick's champions visit hospitals and the Gaelic Grounds homecoming sells out

The victorious Limerick hurlers - Paul Browne and Barry Hennessy - visit the children in Temple Street Children's University Hospital with the Liam McCarthy Cup this morning including nine-year-old CJ Murphy from Co. Kildare

There was great excitement in Crumlin and Temple Street Childrens Hospitals today as newly crowned All-Ireland hurling champions Limerick visited with the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

Manager John Kiely and his players took time out from their celebrations to visit patients and pose for photographs with the coveted silverware.

Next on the agenda for the Treaty County is this evening's eagerly anticipated homecoming.

The Gaelic Grounds is a sell-out as the county's supporters get ready to welcome home their heroes.

Captain Declan Hannon and his team-mates are due on stage at approximately 7pm.
