The Sunday Game Hurling Team of the Year

Unsurprisingly, Limerick had the largest representation on the Team of the Year selected by the Sunday Game panel last night.

Seven players from the All-Ireland champions were selected with three from Galway, two each from Cork and Clare and one from Kilkenny completing the XV.

Galway wing back Padraic Mannion was the panel's choice as Hurler of the Year, while Shane O'Donnell solo goal for Clare against Galway in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final replay was voted Goal of the Year.

Tom Morrissey's crucial late score against Kilkenny in the All-Ireland SHC quarter-final was named Point of the Year, Eoin Murphy's acrobatic stop from Aaron Gillane in the same game was Save of the Year, while the drawn All-Ireland SHC semi-final between Galway and Calre was voted Game of the Year.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Game's Moment of the Year was Peter Duggan's remarkable point for Clare against Galway in the drawn All-Ireland SHC semi-final.

The panel comprised Anthony Daly, Brendan Cummins, Donal O'Grady, Eddie Brennan, Cyril Farrell, Ken McGrath and Jackie Tyrrell.

The Sunday Game Team of the Year was:
