Kilkenny CBS are through to the All-Ireland PPS 'A' SH quarter-finals after edging past St Peter's, Wexford in today's play-off.
Conor Drennan produced a 'man-of-the-match' display, scoring 0-10 (six from play) as the Kilkenny school defeated their Wexford opponents on a 0-15 to 1-9 scoreline at the WIT Sports Campus.
Kilkenny CBS were 0-9 to 0-4 infront at the interval but with the breeze at their backs St Peter's, Wexford enjoyed the upperhand in the second-half.
Defender Michael Codd flicked a goal for the losers in the final minutes, however, it proved too little too late as it was Kilkenny CBS who made most of their second chance.
With Dublin North - who face holders St Kieran's College in tomorrow's Leinster final, unable to advance to the All-Ireland series, a play-off was required between the beaten provincial semi-finalists.
Kilkenny CBS will now meet beaten Munster finalists Midleton CBS in the last-eight of the Croke Cup.
