Wexford forward Rory O'Connor looks set to miss the majority, if not all of the National Hurling League.

O'Connor has had surgery on a troublesome knee injury that hampered his club commitments late on in the year and the rehabilitation will see him sidelined for at least three months.

This will see him miss the majority of the league and indeed possibly the entire campaign depending on how his progress goes.

Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald will be keen to get O'Connor back fully fit as soon as possible as he looks to push on from this year's achievements.
