Limerick hurling legend Ciaran Carey is back involved with the county's camogie team in an advisory capacity.

Carey led the Treaty County camogs to All-Ireland intermediate honours in 2007 and has returned to the fold under current manager and former Limerick team-mate Declan Nash.

“Ciaran has come in as an advisory role for the last number of weeks,” Nash revealed to the Limerick Leader after his side's All-Ireland senior championship victory over Offaly at the weekend.

“What’s his input - well everyone knows what Ciaran Carey brings; he brings passion, knowledge, experience and gives us that extra couple of per cent that we have been chasing."
