Clare captain Gary Brennan is experienced enough to know that tougher days lie ahead in the NFL 2 campaign.

The Banner were hugely impressive as they outplayed an out of sorts Cork side to claim a valuable two points in what is an ultra competitive division.

Clare’s next two games are away to Kildare and Fermanagh and Brennan told the Clare Champion that there will be many twists and turns in this division before the end of the campaign.

“This division is just really up and down. I think every team has won a game now at this stage and it is so tight,” said Brennan.

“We have just over a week to get ready for Kildare. It is not much of a break really, just one weekend off but we won’t be putting our feet up or anything like that. It’s good to get a chance now to sit down and refocus and reassess before getting going again.

“They’re all tough games and Kildare will be looking to bounce back after losing to Fermanagh. Going to Newbridge isn’t easy. Mayo found out about that last year.”
