Kildare footballer Peter Kelly admits that it is a dream come true to be playing senior club football in 2019.

Kelly had an outstanding year for his county and he carried that form into the club championship as he captained his club Two Mile House to the Kildare IFC title.

The 2010 All-Star admitted to the Leinster Leader that he has always dreamed of playing senior football for his club and that dream became a reality following last Sunday’s win over Monasterevan.

“When I was attending school in Newbridge I had to live with the reminder from that lads that we were a junior club and I can tell you now that we have become a senior club and that means the absolute world to me and to all the players.

“I’m not sure how to describe how I feel but it’s marvellous and somewhat surreal at the minute.”
