Kilmacud Crokes got the better of south Dublin rivals Ballyboden St Enda's in this evening's semi-final at Parnell Park.

Craig Dias and Shane Horan found the back of the opposition’s net in the opening period and that proved to be the difference between the sides as it finished 2-9 to 0-9 in Kilmacud’s favour.

The Stillorgan-based outfit didn’t waste any time in laying down a marker as Dias raised a green flag inside the opening minute.

Horan added a second in the 25th minute and they enjoyed a 2-4 to 0-5 advantage at the change of ends.

At the three-quarter hour mark, the scoreboard read Crokes 2-6, ‘Boden 0-8 after Colm Basquel pointed a free for Anthony Rainbow’s side.

Try as they might, the 2016 All-Ireland club champions were unable to reel their opponents in and it’s the Johnny Magee coached Crokes who advance to the decider.

Tomorrow it’s the turn of champions St Vincent’s and St Jude’s to battle it out to decide who will face them in the Dublin showpiece.

Throw-in at Parnell Park is timed for 4pm.
