Dublin, Donegal and Kerry celebrated provincial success as the Super 8s loom close over the horizon. Here's our football team of the week…
1. Graham Brody (Laois)
Laois were on the receiving end of an 18-point defeat to the Dubs but the Portlaoise custodian enhanced his reputation with a fine display between the posts for John Sugrue's side.
2. Paddy McGrath (Donegal)
Used his experienced to telling effect as Donegal ripped Fermanagh's defensive blanket to shreds.
3. Padraig Faulkner (Cavan)
The Breffni County scraped over Down in Brewster Park and now switch their focus to a round 3 clash with manager Mattie McGleenan's native county.
4. Eoghan Ban Gallagher (Donegal)
The corner-back provided further proof that jersey numbers are irrelevant in the modern game as he pilfered 1-1 against Fermanagh.
5. Ryan McHugh (Donegal)
McHugh's fingerprints were all over Donegal's best moments in Clones and his goal was a thing of beauty.
6. Brian Howard (Dublin)
Another assured performance from the Dublin newcomer who is fast becoming a vital cog in Jim Gavin's well-oiled machine.
7. Gavin White (Kerry)
White's runs from deep put Cork on the back foot throughout the one-sided Pairc Ui Chaoimh contest.
8. David Moran (Kerry)
Moran's physical presence was a telling factor as the Kingdom got their hands on 13 of the Rebel County's 28 kick-outs.
9. Damien Moran (Leitrim)
Moran was one of the stars of Leitrim's comprehensive win over Louth and he shared the scoring honours with Emlyn Mulligan.
10. Jason Doherty (Mayo)
There were a lot of anxious moments for Mayo in Semple Stadium but three second-half points from Doherty helped to settle their nerves.
11. Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin)
The Castleknock dynamo cemented his place at the head of the 'Footballer of the Year' betting with another five-star performance in the Leinster decider.
12. Jamie Malone (Clare)
Malone's return of 1-4 was central to the Banner County's two-point victory over Offaly in Tullamore.
13. Rory Grugan (Armagh)
The Orchard County are two wins away from the Super 8s and Kieran McGeeney will hope that his captain can continue his rich vein of scoring form following his 1-6 haul against Sligo.
14. Paul Geaney (Kerry)
As they picked up their sixth Munster SFC title in-a-row, Kerry and Geaney issued a statement of intent ahead of their entry to the All-Ireland series.
15. Michael Quinlivan (Tipperary)
Tipperary made their exit from the Sam Maguire Cup race but Quinlivan - who shot 1-2 - caused plenty of problems for the Mayo defence.
