Cork football fans will be keeping a close watch on Ciaran Sheehan's next move after he confirmed his retirement from Aussie Rules.
The 2010 All-Ireland winning forward joined the Carlton Blues in 2014, but was released in October after making just half a dozen AFL appearances for them during an injury-plagued spell Down Under. Sheehan announced on Twitter today that is he looking forward to a "new chapter" in his life, which Cork supporters are hoping will be a return to the red and white.
TweetWhat an amazing experience these last 4 years have been! Thanks very much to @carltonfc and @northernbluesfc for giving me this opportunity! Great to experience being a professional athlete..didn't get to where I wanted to go this time but thanks for all the support #newchapter pic.twitter.com/o17D1rxE7b
