Mayo champions Castlebar Mitchels are on the look-out for a new senior football boss for 2018 as managers Declan O'Reilly and Declan Shaw have stepped down.

The duo depart their joint-managerial role along with selectors Eamonn Smith and Michael Durkan following three successful years in charge of the county town club.

Mitchels won a three-in-a-row of county SFC titles for the first time since 1954 under the watch of O'Reilly and Shaw, as well as a Connacht title in 2015, before losing out to Ballyboden St Enda's in the All-Ireland final four months later.

In a statement posted on its club website, Castlebar Mitchels thanked the outgoing management team for all their efforts:

"The work carried out behind the scenes by these four men over the 3 years is immeasurable and the club will be eternally grateful for those efforts.

"On behalf of the Club Executive, players, supporters and all involved with Castlebar Mitchels we once again say thank you while wishing them and their families all the very best for the future."
