This weekend sees the four quarterfinals of the SHC take place, as Thurles Sarsfields continue the defence of their title.

The defending champions take on Kilruane MacDonaghs in the second part of a double header at Semple Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3.30pm).

It is hard to see anything other than a win for the Sars and realistically it will take a huge performance from any team to beat them.

In the first of Saturday's games at Semple, Mullinahone face Eire Og Annacarty with the latter still battling on two fronts as they prepare for the SFC quarterfinal as well. (2pm).

Mullinahone's experience could be the difference here as they look to book their place in the last four.

There are two games on Sunday also as Clonoulty-Rossmore face a fancied Drom & Inch at 6pm and then Loughmore-Castleiney take on Borris-Ileigh at 7.30pm.

Both game are at Semple Stadium as well and Drom & Inch and Loughmore-Castleiney are tipped to come through these encounters.
