Tipperary manager Michael Ryan is not expected to extend an olive branch to Cathal Barrett ahead of their Liam MacCarthy Cup last four clash with Galway.

The All-Star defender was cut from the Premier County in the wake of their Munster SHC quarter-final defeat to Cork for a breach of discipline.

There was speculation that the Holycross-Ballycahill player - who recently returned to club action from injury - could be recalled to help address Tipperary's full-back line frailties but The Irish Independent reports today that the All-Ireland champions have opted to finish out their campaign without him.
