All-Ireland winning Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy has hooked up with Antrim's hurlers ahead of the 2018 season.

According to today's Irish News, Sheedy met with Antrim officials last week and will work alongside the county committee and the senior hurling team next season.

The Portroe clubman will travel to the county at least once a week to help prepare the Glensmen for their return to Division One hurling and will also assist with improving hurling structures in the northern county.

Sheedy, who led the Premier County to the 2010 Liam MacCarthy Cup, was also in Antrim a fortnight ago, meeting with the U17 squad following their Celtic Challenge Cup success and taking the minors for a session ahead of their All-Ireland MHC quarter-final clash with Dublin.
