Former Tipperary sharpshooter Eoin Kelly showed that class is permanent when he scored the winning point for Mullinahone in their South Tipp SHC final victory over Killenaule yesterday.

The 2010 All-Ireland winning captain held his nerve to send over a late free which handed Mullinahone a dramatic 2-15 to 1-17 win. Graham Horan scored an early goal for the winners to help them to a 1-9 to 1-6 interval lead.

Michael Dunne netted just after the restart to extend their advantage before the accuracy of John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer from frees brought Killenaule back into it. Kieran Bergin eventually restored parity before Kelly fired over his seventh point at the other end to edge Mullinahone home.

The Mid Tipperary SHC winners were also crowned at Templetuohy yesterday after Loughmore-Castleiney recorded a 1-20 to 2-16 extra-time victory over a Drom-Inch team who were without the services of county star Seamus Callanan, who was on holidays.
